Hi, I'm Eugene

I'm a product manager (ex-finance guy) based in New York City.

About Me

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 2007, I began my Finance career in Corporate Banking as an Analyst. While I'm proud to have worked my way through the cubicle trenches to become an Associate Director, after 8 years in finance, I knew that I needed to make a change.

In 2013, I decided to step outside of my norm and enroll in a Product Management course at General Assembly. Being surrounded by lifelong learners and ambitious creators, I knew I made the right decision to explore outside of banking and finance. In 2014, I continued my education with UX Design at General Assembly.

In early 2015, I took the ultimate plunge and officially retired from banking/finance and enrolled full-time at the Startup Institute, an intensive accelerator program, created by Techstars, for individuals looking to pivot their careers and enter the startup world.

In Sept 2015, Eugene joined VenueBook, a SaaS enabled marketplace platform in the event management sector, as a Product Intern. Currently, he is a Product Manager responsible for managing QA testing, bug backlogs and new feature launches on the Venue Manager side of the SaaS platform. My ongoing journey into technology and startups has connected me with talented and inspiring folks and I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life.
